The Punt Acca: Owen Goulding's three horse racing tips on Thursday

Berkshire Shadow (4.15 Salisbury)

Both Modern News and Tempus have to shoulder penalties and Berkshire Shadow can take full advantage. Granted, he would probably prefer a race with more pace, but Tempus should ensure an even gallop and his Group 1 form this season gives him a huge chance here. He handles conditions and on ratings, he has just 1lb to find with Modern News, despite receiving 6lb from him.

Brunel Charm (5.10 Lingfield)

An inside draw should work out perfectly for Brunel Charm, who looked set to make all the running at Kempton last time before she was collared in the dying strides by an unexposed and well-treated three-year-old. It was still a good performance and on her prior start, she was a comfortable course-and-distance winner from the same good draw as today. Tyler Heard removes 3lb from her back and if she settles handily, she will be tough to pass.

Sunningdale (6.10 Lingfield)

Paul and Oliver Cole have their string in excellent form and despite being a three-race maiden, Sunningdale has run to a strong standard. He was thought well enough to contest the Chesham on his second start and the form of his latest fourth in a Newbury novice is working out well. An opening mark of 79 looks potentially lenient and given his pedigree, being a son of Gleneagles, he should relish a return to the 7f trip.
