Trained in France, where he won a bumper and a hurdling race, Haddex Des Obeaux got off the mark at the second attempt for Gary Moore in a Fontwell handicap in October 2021. That form has worked out well since and on the back of a 360-day break, mistakes plagued his chasing debut at Newton Abbot last month. He is now race-fit and will have learned plenty from that experience, which can help him overcome a lenient mark of 126.

Bold Plan(3.05 Kempton)

Isabel Williams has formed a fruitful partnership with Bold Plan and the pair completed a hat-trick with victory at Cheltenham in April. He returns off a 6lb higher rating, but that still leaves him well-treated on his best form. Softer ground will not be an issue and he has performed well fresh in the past too. The vast majority of his wins have come in smaller fields and another could be on the cards here.
