The Punt Acca: Owen Goulding's three horse racing tips on Monday

Yaaser (4.45 Ayr)

Completed a double with victory over course and distance three starts ago before suffering an odds-on defeat back here on his next start. He proved he was still well handicapped, however, when finishing a luckless second at Musselburgh seven days ago off this mark. This race should play out to suit once again, especially from a good draw, and provided he gets the gaps when required, he should make a swift return to winning ways.

Glam De Vega (8.15 Ripon)

Trained by Roger Varian, this well-bred son of Lope De Vega shaped with promise in two juvenile starts last season. He built on his debut fifth at Yarmouth by finishing second to Walk Of Stars at Nottingham, a form line that has been heavily boosted since. He is entitled to have matured as a three-year-old and he rates as an exciting prospect for the rest of the campaign.

Kendred Fire (8.45 Ripon)

Has won just one of his ten starts to date but he has slowly come to the boil in three starts this year, posting his best effort when second at Redcar two weeks ago. He did extremely well to finish as close as he did from a poor draw and that suggested he was about ready to strike off this reduced mark. He should get a reasonable pace to aim at and provided he can race more prominently on this occasion, he will be tough to hold off.
