Gordon Elliott has run some high-class performers in this 2m5f beginners' chase in recent years, and unbeaten six-year-old Gerri Colombe looks likely to make a splash in the 2022 edition. A point-to-point and bumper winner who scored on his only two starts over hurdles last season prior to a setback, he has always shaped like a staying chaser and could really come into his own now tackling this sphere.

Norwigi (2.07 Fairyhouse)

Provided she can cope with shouldering 12st 4lb when giving weight to all rivals, Norwigi rates a serious player in this 2m7½f amateur riders' handicap chase. She was set to play a major role in a 2m5½f mares' handicap chase here in April before coming down at the third last fence. Her confidence should be restored after her latest fourth at Ballinrobe in August, and she might just prove too classy for these rivals under the assured Aine O'Connor.

We'llhavewan (3.07 Fairyhouse)

It looks a smart piece of placing from the Willie Mullins team to have a tilt at this 2m4f amateur riders' handicap hurdle given We'llhavewan is rated 16lb lower in this sphere than over fences. A seven-year-old who has only had three starts since joining the champion trainer, he could still be on the up over hurdles and arrives with his fitness assured after a summer campaign.
