Jatiluwih (3.05 Newbury)

With a lot of rain in the forecast, the Pertemps Qualifier could cut up, but one who looks certain to be suited by race conditions is Jatiluwih. He hasn't been seen over hurdles since finishing eighth in the Pertemps Final in 2020, but had previously won his first five starts, including a handicap at the Cheltenham November meeting off 1lb lower than he is here. He goes well fresh having won after 158 and 226-day breaks, so the fact that we haven't seen him since January isn't an issue and he should to go well for owner-rider David Maxwell.

Full Intention (4.00 Chelmsford)

This 7f handicap is full of reopposing rivals and the one who looks the most suited by conditions is Full Intention. He is 16lb better off with likely favourite Legende D'Art for a length-and-a-quarter defeat to him in January and finds himself 9lb lower than when last successful on a mark of 69, which he has won off twice before. Five of his eight wins have come over course and distance and the last time he ran in a Class 5 at Chelmsford, which he does here, he won.

Real Estate (5.30 Chelmsford)

The handicapper has kindly dropped Real Estate 1lb for his run over course and distance last time, when he was bumped going round the bend, then switched when making a run – he wasn't fully ridden out either. He is reunited with Robert Havlin, who knows him well having been on board for his last five wins, and he is only 1lb higher than when winning a Lingfield handicap in July. He was a comfortable winner of a course-and-distance claimer in June, and a repeat performance would see him go close in this weak handicap.
