The Meydan Punt: Nick Driver with three to follow

Divine Image (4.15)
There's an excellent card today, where a lot of prospects are preparing for Super Saturday and World Cup night, but today should be the big day for Divine Image. The Scat Daddy filly was 6-4 favourite when finishing second in the UAE 1,000 Guineas, but there were excuses with the selection completely falling out of the stalls and then looked mightily impressive making up the ground she did to get back into second place. Charlie Appleby always said that this trip would suit a lot more and that this would be her big day. She's got a good draw in four and if she gets a good break, I really can't see how she gets beat. Obviously the others have chances, but she is the real deal.
Good Thing
The Dubai Millennium Stakes could be described as a Godolphin benefit this year with six of the eight participants sporting the royal blue. It's quite tricky, but normally the best horses of the bunch do end up winning and at the present moment in time it would probably be Racing History. Most of the Godolphin sextet are handicappers looking to step up into Group level, whereas the selection is a Group 3 winner with four Group placings, including two at the highest level and a fourth in a Champion Stakes to boot. This on paper is a little easier than those previous races and, potentially, his easiest task since 2015, so his chances are high, especially with the master Christophe Soumillon aboard.
Eyecatcher
Mythical Magic (4.50)
I was extremely pleased to see William Buick had plumped for the selection out of the Charlie Appleby trio and feel he could step up here and beat some good horses. He beat a fair few of these when a good second in the Al Fahidi Fort and it looked like this trip should suit him more. I think if he's going to be winning a race of this calibre it will be now with the likes of Century Dream and Wooton potentially needing the run after a break and the rest either out of form or struggling behind the selection last time. Hopefully Buick has got the selection right and, with the draw in two, there's not much going against the son of Iffraaj.
