Course specialist who has been running well over varying trips lately, including when third off this mark over this course and distance 13 days ago. I tipped him on that occasion and thought he was going to win as they entered the straight, especially when he instantly made up a couple of lengths on the leaders, but his effort flattened out inside the final furlong and was comfortably beaten into third. He is sure to win sooner rather than later off his current rating and although he is up in grade, the smaller field is likely to play to his advantage.

DARK HORSE

(8.00 Kempton)

Another runner I'm sticking with after tipping them last time out, Voi, a four-time winner from 32 starts, was never able to challenge when well backed here last month but stuck in takingly in behind to finish a distant fourth. She will be put into contention a bit earlier tonight, has been dropped another 1lb for that defeat and is now 4lb lower than for her last success. Voi won at this track almost a year to the day off a mark of 69 and is overdue a success. Tonight is her night.
