The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday
EACH-WAY PLAY
This has been the target for Peter Fahey's ten-year-old, who finished a creditable third in the race last year off a 1lb higher mark when given an extremely patient ride. You can expect much the same here and although the racecard says he hasn't run for 138 days, it's worth noting he had a prep run for this in a charity race recently. His jumping is the sole concern, but he loves Galway and he looks a great each-way bet at a double-figure price.
GOOD THING
Dean Ivory's six-year-old has been rejuvenated this summer and has twice capitalised off his falling mark since returning from a break in June. He beat an improving three-year-old from an improbable position on his return, before defying a 9lb higher mark over this course and distance last time out. He has been hit with another 7lb rise, but his recent RPRs suggest he's still well treated and can hopefully record the hat-trick today.
