Phil McEntee's five-year-old is just 1-23 in his career and is winless in his last 15 starts but he has run consistently well in defeat over the last year and deserves a second career success. Global Melody has recorded 12 placings of fourth or better in the last year since gaining his first win, most of which have come at this track in Class 5 or 6 company. His latest fourth at Southwell just two days ago was highly encouraging and he looked like winning for much of that contest before hanging to the stands' side rail. The drop in trip and this slightly easier contest look in Global Melody's favour and hopes are high he can score.
