Newmarket, October 9

Michael Bell, trainer of Prince Alex and Platform Nineteen
Prince Alex was supposed to run on Saturday in the Old Borough Cup but the ground is going to be too quick. His best form is with cut in the ground but I imagine at that stage of the season he'll probably run regardless – providing he's in good form. He threatens to stay this distance and he's very uncomplicated. Platform Nineteen is being aimed at the race as well, but True Courage won't run.

Tom Dascombe, trainer of Rajinsky
It's one of his targets and hopefully he'll win one of the top staying handicaps at some stage. He's run consistently well without winning but the handicapper knows where he is – he's at the top of his mark.
