Erick Le Rouge completed a four-timer over hurdles when winning at this fixture last year. He seemed to find 3m on soft ground at Ascot too much for him on his penultimate run, but he bounced back to win over this course and distance last time. He could have run in the big 3m handicap later on the card, but contests this Grade 2 instead.
