If the Lalor who thrashed Dynamite Dollars on his chase debut, or the one who won a Grade 1 at Aintree over hurdles, turns up in the Coral Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter (2.10), he should win.

The problem with backing him is that his subsequent three runs were so far below that level it is hard to know what Lalor is capable of.
