Champyownez might have been beaten more than 17 lengths on his Fibresand debut here last week but he caught my eye. The Stef Keniry-trained gelding had been nibbled at in the market at big prices and he showed bright speed to share the lead entering the straight. He traded at 3.15 in running on Betfair from an SP of 18-1, but faded and beat only three home.
