It took a while for the ground to ease at Thurles but, now that firm has vanished from the going description, the popular Tipperary track has managed to reclaim one of the lost fixtures from October on Monday.

Given that he finished fifth of only ten finishers at the track last Thursday, Bellgrove was disappointing on the face of it but there was more to that run than the result tells you and he could be worth supporting in the Thurles Handicap Chase (1.20).
