David Pipe has a 75 per cent strike-rate in chases, and a 58 per cent record when combining with Tom Scudamore at Perth. Vaniteux makes the long trip north to run in the 3m handicap chase at 4.20.

William Haggas has a 43 per cent strike-rate when fitting his runners with a first-time tongue-tie. Pablo Escobarr gets the equipment in the 2.00 at Goodwood.
Simon Crisford has his string in good order at the moment (35 per cent with his runners in the last fortnight). He also has a 33 per cent record with two-year-old debutants at Wolverhampton. Aluqair makes his debut in the 6.45.
