Sweetspots: Hughes and Alexander primed to strike again at Ayr

Richard Johnson has a 100 per cent strike-rate (2-2) when riding Kayf Adventure, who is open to further improvement in the 3.40 at Sandown after winning impressively over a similar trip at Fontwell last time.

Caroline Bailey and Adam Pogson have an impressive 75 per cent strike-rate when combining at Leicester. They team up in the 2.55 with Global Dream, who is also 3-4 at the course. He’s stepping up in class but the drop down in trip is in his favour.

Nick Alexander and Brian Hughes have a 60 per cent strike-rate when combining at Ayr. They have got a great chance to improve that with Marlee Massie (4.30). He was easily beaten over three miles here last time but he’s back on the same mark as when winning back in December.
