Sweetspots: Economic Crisis looks a plunge waiting to happen

Silvestre de Sousa has a 58 per cent strike-rate at Chepstow (seven winners from 12 rides). The jockey can make his journey from Ascot worthwhile with rides on Carol (8.25) and Swilly Sunset (9.00).
Economic Crisis holds a good chance in the 7.25 at Musselburgh having previously registered three wins in this two-week period. The mare’s last success was over course and distance off a 1lb higher mark, so a bold bid is expected.

Culloden looks set to go well in the 5.55 at Musselburgh. The five-year-old won last year’s renewal and can get back to winning ways under Kevin Stott, who is seven from 29 at the venue.
