Warren Greatrex is proving adept at saddling winners after a wind operation, with four of 12 eligible horses winning first time after the procedure. Rambling Rector has an obvious chance at Stratford (1.10), where his trainer has a 29 per cent strike-rate.

Harry Whittington has a phenomenal 83 per cent strike-rate at Sedgefield, with Harry Bannister 4-5 for him at the same course. Speedy Cargo, placed in point-to-points last winter and bred to stay very well, showed enough in a bumper to be supported up in trip on his hurdles debut (2.25).
