Street Poet looks right road for punters to take

Sir Michael Stoute, Robert Ng and Josephine Gordon teamed up to land a Windsor handicap with heavily backed favourite Third Rock four weeks ago and the trio have strong claims of enjoying further success at the riverside track courtesy of lightly raced Street Poet in the 1m2f Sky Bet Handicap (8.00).

The son of Poet’s Voice graduates to handicaps on a mark of 71 after three runs in maidens and it will be surprising if he isn’t rated considerably higher at the end of the season.

I liked the way Street Poet relaxed and travelled during his last race at Windsor, and noted him as a likely candidate for a bet as soon as he ventured into handicap company.
