1pt each-way at 12-1 generallyYou normally need to be on either wing on the sprint course at Ripon and for the first meeting of the year last week it was an advantage to track across to the far side from a low draw.

The opening sprint on the card resulted in a one-two for the only two horses to go there (winner was 40-1) and in the next one the winner made all on that side.

Things can change quickly, but Ice Age, drawn three today, looks reasonably well treated on a mark 4lb lower than when fourth in last year's Great St Wilfrid from a draw right in the middle (went far side, winner was near side, next four home all far side).
