Speedy Innocently a guilty pleasure on sharp tracks

Unexposed Quick Look made an encouraging return to action last month 6.00 Newmarket

William Jarvis's gelding has clearly had problems since making a winning debut at Brighton in June last year as he was subsequently on the sidelines until late last month. However, he shaped with plenty of promise when finishing third over this course and distance 13 days ago and has obvious prospects if this doesn't come too soon.

The son of Kheleyf looked ring-rusty and was well off the pace after losing a few lengths at the start, but he picked up extremely well and his effort deserves upgrading as he ended up on the far side, whereas the first two home raced down the centre.

He attracted support at big prices in the market, which is encouraging, and, although 2lb higher in a warm race, is open to considerable improvement after just two runs. Being reunited with David Probert, who rode him at Brighton, is another positive.

Innocently should appreciate the return to a sharper track 7.50 Catterick
