Snowy Winter cashes in to defeat market leaders after touching huge prices

>>There was an upset in the 1m½f maiden at Hamilton when 8-1 chance Snowy Winter took advantage of a charmed run to defy a high of 280 in running on Betfair and defeat the two market principals.

Pioneering (15-8) travelled like the winner throughout but got caught in a pocket at a crucial stage and couldn't get out in time to challenge the winner, letting down backers at a low of 1.19.

The 6-5 hotpot Somnambulist finished only third after trading at a low of 1.78.
