Senita could be a different proposition in first-time headgear for the Gosdens

John Gosden has won three of the last six runnings of the Musidora and it looks significant he and son Thady bring Senita here despite a disappointing effort on her seasonal reappearance.

Senita was beaten 12 lengths when last of seven in that 1m2f conditions race at Newbury last month and that was a long way off her best. She had previously looked a smart prospect when slamming six rivals in a Redcar novice over a mile in October, recording a decent time too.

Her poor run at Newbury is easily explained as she pulled her chance away and raced far too freely. Frankie Dettori looked after her once her chance had gone and she could bounce back.

That first run of the season will have taken some of the freshness out of her and the Gosdens fit Senita with a hood for the first time. John has had plenty of success with runners wearing that aid for the first time in recent years and Senita should benefit from having the headgear applied.
