Sandown Placepot picks: three confident selections to get through Saturday's bet

There are a couple of potentially useful rivals for to contend with in Sandown's opener (12.05), but Harry Fry's five-year-old looked a serious prospect himself when scoring at Newton Abbot and he looks banker material for Placepot punters.

The next (12.40) is much tougher and while it's easy to see why Fable is favourite, she is going to have to come on again in a better race than she won last time.

Preferred are , who is definitely still improving judging by her return win, and , who shaped really well on her return from a break.

In the next (1.15) managed to get a lower mark over hurdles than he had on the Flat and duly hacked up in his first handicap at Lingfield last month. His Flat form says he's still absolutely chucked in.

Despite not convincing everyone with his finishing effort at Cheltenham, I'm convinced is going to end up a top-class 2m chaser and he can prove the point in leg four (1.50). I can't wait to see him tackle Sandown's seven back-straight fences, and will be disappointed if he doesn't win let alone place.

is obviously the one to beat in the Tingle Creek (2.25), but he does have at least two serious rivals, of which is preferred on the form of his Celebration Chase win here in April.

That just leaves the London National (3.00), with course winners and the picks.
