Rely on Gordon Elliott to plunder prizes at Navan

The most interesting leg of what is a new-look Tote Pick 6 at Navan, with the minimum stake now reduced to just 10 cents, is the Grade 2 Navan Novice Hurdle (12.30).

Willie Mullins has dominated this contest, winning five of the last seven, which makes Easy Game immediately interesting, while Defi Bleu and Rhinestone have obvious claims stepping up in grade.

The opening maiden hurdle (12.00) seems to revolve around Gigginstown House Stud's Battleoverdoyen, an impressive bumper winner for Gordon Elliott last time, and Noel Meade's Momus, who already has hurdling experience.

Of Elliott's five runners in the €50,000 handicap hurdle (1.00), the frustrating but talented Squouateur and the potentially well-treated Dinaria Des Obeaux make most appeal.

Elliott can also land the following maiden hurdle (1.30) with Diamond Turf and the rated novice chase (2.05) with Sir Carno, while the Mick Winters-trained Bitsandpieces is the sole fancy in the concluding leg, the 2m4f handicap chase (2.35).
