Ratings drop makes Fallow worth following at Musselburgh

The first horse I backed at last week's Ebor festival was Duke Of Firenze in the opening sprint handicap and he was beaten a head after trading at 1.01, which was a fair sign that it was going to be a tough week.

I never seem to get York right but the track was in great shape – full credit to the team there for not watering before Friday's card – and the racing was top class, so there can be no complaints.

It was interesting to see that Postponed matched his career-best Racing Post Rating of 126 in landing the Juddmonte International.
