Although it is more than 18 months since Finish The Story entered the winner's enclosure, he was consistent enough mainly over fences last season and he returns to hurdles after a break on a potentially dangerous mark.
Indeed, he returned from a layoff to finish third off 99 at Sedgefield in this month last year - his best run over hurdles since notching the first two legs of a hat-trick in 2014 - and that placed effort took his form figures in handicap hurdles under today's jockey Brendan Powell at that point to 3183.
