Promising novice looks set to build on encouraging chase debut

Bel Ami De Sivola
4.35 Galway
2pts win
There are some interesting horses on show at Galway on Tuesday afternoon as the jumps season continues its gradual crank into full gear, including Bel Ami De Sivola, who should be able to win the 2m2f galwayraces.com Beginners' Chase (4.35) on his way to better things.
His hurdling career started well last season as he won his first two starts, but it went downhill as the season wore on as he proved unable to handle stepping up into Grade 1 level and rounded off the season with a disappointing defeat at odds-on in a conditions hurdle at Down Royal in May.
His chasing career got off to a satisfactory enough start though at Navan last month when he probably raced a little bit too hard but his jumping was mostly impeccable before he got quite tired in finishing third to Call The Taxie (a runner in the 4.00 race) and subsequent winner A Sizing Network.

If able to build on that there is every prospect that he won't just win this contest but that his achievements over fences will eclipse what he did over hurdles. He rates a confident selection.
