A group of talented Irish apprentices have prospered this year, and 10lb claimer Robert Smithers gets a rare chance to add his name to the scoresheet at Dundalk in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Nursery Handicap (2.45).
Smithers has had limited opportunities since partnering two winners in 2016, but trainer Michael O'Callaghan now provides him with a fighting chance on Kitten On The Keys, who was partnered by Nathan Crosse when an encouraging second on her nursery and all-weather debut just 12 days ago.
