>>There was a thrilling duel before Dark Power finally got the better of Pillar Of Society in Nottingham's second juvenile maiden but it proved costly to some, for the runner-up was matched as low as 1.22 on Betfair when it looked briefly as if he might be getting the better of the argument. But Adam Kirby is a tough nut to beat in a tight finish and he drove even-money favourite Dark Power right out to clinch matters by a short head after trading as high as 8.0.

>>Their was grief aplenty in the market during Ludlow's staying chase for turning for home it looked to concern the 5-1 shot Set List and the 6-4 favourite Azure Fly when the pair kicked clear with all the others off the bridle. Set List looked to have the call and was backed as a low as 1.12 but his supporters got in badly wrong as he finished only fourth with the 7-1 shot ,Heist, who had looked held, and traded at 60, coming through to take the spoils decisively in the end.
