Paul Kealy provides his Tote Placepot perm for Chepstow
Chepstow is arguably the weakest of the four British meetings staged on Friday, but it does offer punters three places in every race and that makes it the most appealing card for the Placepot.
ought to go well in the opener (12.15) for Mick Channon. I like horses whose RPRs are gradually improving with every run while their handicap mark is going in the other direction and he's one (42-46-51 RPRs against marks of 57, 54 and now 52). He's 11lb lower than his peak mark and can go close in a first-time visor.
Course specialist ought to be thereabouts as well.
In the second leg has the best form and she gets the nod alongside , who was eyecatching enough when fifth on her Windsor debut 11 days ago (third won since).
(1.20) really ought to go close in the third leg, so I'll bank on him, while (1.50) won with a lot in hand and should be hard to beat in the next under a 5lb penalty.
In the fifth leg (2.20) Gloweth won with even more in hand last time, but she has been saddled with an 11lb rise and I'm tempted to take her on.
, who has run two fine races in 2020 and is still very lightly raced, and who is very consistent, are the two to side with.
That just leaves the final leg (2.50) in which the hat-trick-seeking Rosa Gold will be a warm order. She's 3lb well in, but was helped by a searching pace after starting slowly at Thirsk and I wouldn't be confident this race will play out as nicely for her.
Ed Dunlop's should be considered. She is up 3lb for getting off the mark on her handicap debut last time, but the form worked out well for the grade and the third is now 9lb higher.
Otherwise we're looking for some lightly raced types to improve and one of those could be Brian Meehan's , who is going into handicap company with a realistic mark after just two runs.
