Paul Kealy provides his Tote Placepot perm for an interesting Wincanton card

There are double-figure fields in all the Placepot races at Wincanton, which makes it a tempting play.

Paris Dixie is forecast to be a warm favourite for Nicky Henderson in the opener (12.10) after running well on her return from a long layoff last time, but she could bounce and Jeremy Pass and Sizable Sam have much better bumper form to their names, so I'll take her on.

In the next (12.40), the in-form Beyond The Pale looks the safest option of the market leaders as Zyon has clearly been hard to train and returns from another long break.

There could be one or two decent sorts in the third contest (1.10), but Nicky Henderson said he hopes Docte Dina will take high rank in the mares' novice division this season, so she'll do for me.

It gets harder after that, but Buckhorn George, a course-and-distance winner, has to be fancied in leg four (1.40) after returning with a career-best last time. Kissesforkatie has also shown her best form at this track.

Lots Of Luck was the early favourite for the penultimate race (2.12), but comes up against some potentially well-handicapped rivals.

One of those is Commandant, third over hurdles last time and now 12lb lower than for his last chase run, while Native Robin ran well for a long way on his return and has plenty of good performances to his name here.

In the last (2.42), Dollnamix won in a canter recently and is hard to leave out given he's 4lb well in. I wouldn't be surprised if Jumping Cats improved now that he is handicapping off a mark that his Flat form would suggest is very generous, so he's taken as well.
