Paul Kealy provides his Tote Placepot perm for an exciting Ascot card

I can't say I would be in a major rush to leave anything out of the three-runner opening leg at Ascot (12.20) because while and were much better than outsider over hurdles, the former is having his first run and Pic D'Orhy did not jump well on his debut.

Up The Straight would kick the majority out of the pool and he should be fit after two decent hurdles efforts.

Only seven go in the next (12.55), and while Time Flies By has the best form it is not that straightforward.

He was highly tried in two hurdles last season, but did not jump that well so I'll take him on with debutant , whose bumper form was at least as good.

A bit of guesswork is required in the next (1.30) with so little to go on, but Metierwas a 90-rated performer on the Flat and couldn't have won more easily on his debut for Harry Fry so he gets the nod.

is the main bet in the next (2.05), but given has been beaten only by Lostintranslation on his seasonal return for the last three years, he is the second choice against the market leaders.

Buzzis a warm order for leg five (2.40), and while I have never thought he was the most straightforward, he only needs to finish in the first three. You can pick holes in virtually everything else, too.

I think I can get the favourite beat in the last leg (3.15), but there aren't many without questions mark. My suggestions are , and .
