Palmer taking Galileo Gold route to Classic with Escobar

Escobar: is one of two winners by his sire Famous Name
Escobar: will have a racecourse gallop at the Craven meeting

Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Churchill and Caravaggio among others
We are very happy with Churchill and the plan is to send him straight to Newmarket once everything goes well over the next few weeks. Caravaggio has never raced beyond six furlongs, so before asking him to go a mile we are looking at running him in the Listed Patton Stakes over seven furlongs at Dundalk and see how things go. He had a minor hold-up after winning the Phoenix Stakes and we just ran out of time with him.

William Haggas, trainer of Rivet
It's well versed we didn't think he enjoyed the undulations at Newmarket, but there's only one 2,000 Guineas. We may run him in the Craven to see, we may run him at Newcastle, or we may run him in the Greenham at Newbury. I don't think we saw him at his best in the Dewhurst and I can have two or three credible reasons why that is, one of which is the track. I'm not convinced that was the only factor, so I can't rule out the track, but if I ran him in the Craven and he was all at sea then I could rule out the track.

David Elsworth, trainer of Swiss Storm and Sir Dancealot
Swiss Storm has considerable ability but we'll be a lot wiser as to whether he can win a Guineas when we've had the trials. He's run twice and won his maiden authoritatively at Newbury. We'll have to go for one of the trials and, having won at Newbury, the Greenham might be favourite. Sir Dancealot could run in the Free Handicap before any decision Guineas is made on the Guineas.
