This three-year-old travels well in his races and likes to be ridden patiently. He came from much further back than the winner and second in this 7f handicap to finish a never-nearer third. He was dropping back in distance here and might appreciate a return to a mile, a trip he has won over twice this season. He is the right type to be aimed at valuable handicaps.

Yet to win in seven attempts, but this two-year-old clearly has the ability to take advantage of what looks a workable handicap mark. In this 7f nursery run on soft ground he shaped as if a return to 6f would suit. Racing keenly in first-time cheekpieces (replaced visor) in the early part of the race, he gave the impression of wanting to go a stride quicker and, considering he wasted energy, kept on pretty well once asked for maximum effort.

Ridden positively from the front on this first run for the yard, the four-year-old outran starting odds of 33-1, only surrendering the lead well inside the final furlong in this 5f handicap. For his previous stable he ran over 6f and 7f but he evidently has bags of pace, and on this run alone you would say the minimum distance is his trip. He’s been raised 2lb, but with this just his fifth race there is room for improvement.
