O'Brien's debutant can score for in-form stable
Monderon starts life with Fergal O’Brien on a highly workable mark, and can make a winning debut for the bang-in-form Cotswolds stable in Taunton’s Event Care Ltd Novices’ Handicap Chase (2.20).
The nine-year-old hasn’t been seen in public since last December, but fitness is rarely an issue with runners from this yard and he remains totally unexposed as a chaser after just two appearances over fences.
Monderon was travelling strongly on the heels of the leaders in a 2m5f Towcester chase won by the now 135-rated Waldorf Salad 12 months ago when he crumpled on landing six out, having jumped the fence perfectly well.
