Arcavallo is out of an unraced half-sister to 5f Group 3 winner Monsieur Joe and has shown plenty of promise in his three runs.

Backed first time out when beaten at Redcar over 5f, he improved plenty when second at Carlisle two weeks ago and held every chance here until unable to match the winner, Trusting Friend, close home.

That ensured he will start handicapping off a low base and Michael Dods’s two-year-old may well improve with age given Monsieur Joe’s profile.
