Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's two meetings
Selections at Carlisle and Southwell
Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Carlisle
1.40:Papa Tango Charly
Preference is for Papa Tango Charly (nap), who took very well to chasing here six weeks ago and looks one to follow. He's in good hands and the type to keep on improving. Second choice is Well Above Par, who is well suited by this venue Whoshotthesheriff enters calculations back down in grade and Uncle Alastair is interesting on his 2018 course effort.
Steve Boow
Southwell
12.15: Croagh Patrick
Most of these cannot be approached with much enthusiasm but Croagh Patrick (nap) made a promising chase debut under rules at Uttoxeter and although there's clearly a bit for him to prove over this 6f longer trip, he makes plenty of appeal. Mozzaro also has a stamina query but he looks the most likely danger following the win here last month on his chasing debut.
