Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Aintree
12.20: Tyre Kicker
With the form of his placed efforts in Ireland last month having worked out well, Tyre Kicker can return to winning ways for Gavin Cromwell. The step up in trip could be a positive for Broadway Boy on his handicap debut and he's feared most, ahead of the in-form pair Brandy McQueen and Fenland Tiger.
Ben Hutton
Chepstow
1.02: Dalamoi
Most of these have something to prove either on the grounds of fitness after long layoffs or their current form. Destin D'Ajonc defends an unbeaten 2-2 record over course and distance and despite this ground likely to be on the lively side for him he should go well for last year's winning yard. Preference is for Dalamoi, however, who made a very good start to his chase career when winning at Kempton and has potential as a chaser. Smackwater Jack goes well fresh and may be best of the others.

Fairyhouse
11.35: Minella Crooner
It is interesting that Gordon Elliott backs up Minella Crooner so soon after he seemed to have a hard race on chasing debut in a Punchestown Grade 2. That decision has to be respected and, with cheekpieces on, he is the one to beat. Largy Debut and I Am Maximus can give him most to do.

Sandown
12.35: West Balboa
Considering that she has Grade 1 form and remains highly unexposed, West Balboa is very interesting off an opening mark of 127. She's first choice ahead of Plenty Of Time, another handicap debutante who could be very well treated. Coquelicot is a likely player if she copes with the drop back in trip, while several others are also hard to dismiss.
Steve Boow
Wetherby
1.58: Kellahen
Most of these have something to prove but prolific Flat winner Kellahen is unexposed over hurdles and took a major step forward with his clearcut win in a Bangor novice last month. He's open to more progress on his handicap hurdle debut and is a big player off what looks a fair mark. The main threat could come from Fransham, who won this race in 2020 and had a near miss in the first of his two course-and-distance runs this season.
David Moon
Wolverhampton
8.20: Queen Of Ipanema
The five-timer is very much on the cards for Queen Of Ipanema as she still looked to have something up her sleeve when winning at Newcastle three weeks ago. Both Nolton Cross and Obsidian Knight have been in good form over course and distance of late and they look the main dangers.
