Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings
Selections from Goodwood, Kempton, Listowel, Perth, Redcar and Southwell
Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Goodwood
3.00: Treacherous
Last year's winner Some Nightmare faces a stiffer task today and this may rest between the pair at the head of the weights. Antiphon continues to improve for his new connections and holds sound claims but Treacherous has been banging at the door and his latest second at Doncaster looks a strong piece of form. Endowed is in better form than his last run suggests and he is a possible too, while Regal Envoy still has low mileage and may do better yet.
Paul Smith
Kempton
6.45: Flame Of Freedom
Puffing and Next Chapter are unexposed 3yos who could have more to give but they are up against a pair of in-form older rivals in the shape of Fame Of Freedom and Crystal Casque. The pair finished second and third behind a handicap blot here two weeks ago and Eve Johnson Houghton's filly is fancied to gain her second C&D win.

Listowel
3.10: Shoot First
A strong handicap with several progressive types. Preference is for Shoot First who stayed on strongly in a Galway festival handicap and should appreciate this longer trip. Perceval Legallois and Noble Birth are others that are going the right way.
Mark Nunan
Perth
3.20: Idilico
The most obvious answer is Idilico, who was far too strong for a next-time-out winner when scoring over C&D last month and ought to be able to cope with today's 6lb higher mark. Big Bad Bear enjoyed a revival in the spring and can pose a threat if fully tuned up after his break. Battle Of Toro ran a big race in defeat at Cartmel last month but needs to prove he can transfer that level of form to this very different track.
Chris Wilson
Redcar
5.08: Kingofhell
Hurt You Never is worth another go at 7f and Magical Effect is in good form but this looks between Key Look and Kingofhell. The latter has his own way of doing things but he didn't have things go his way in a better race at Newbury recently and ought to have a good run in him at this level.
Emily Weber
Southwell
6.00: Bold Territories
With no penalty for last week's turf success in an apprentice event, dual Tapeta winner Bold Territories can make it four from four with cheekpieces by beating recent Brighton winner Broxi.
Colin Russell
