Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Wetherby

2.15: Cheddleton

The six-year-old Cheddleton has some strong form, including his last-time-out second in a handicap at Cheltenham, and he can go one better today. Course specialist Fransham could be a big danger having won here last time on his second chase start, while the gallant Nuts Well could be in the mix off top weight.
Ben Hutton

Leopardstown

1.45: Largy Debut

An open-looking Grade 1. This year's Royal Bond form may not prove to be the strongest and third-placed Mighty Potter just might need a greater stamina test. Grangee looked a natural on her hurdles debut and with the ground in her favour could take plenty of beating, but slight preference is for the least exposed in the field Largy Debut, who slammed a smart sort at Cork and looks a very classy prospect, albeit as yet unproven on this sort of ground.

Limerick

2.05: Eric Bloodaxe

Certainly not a strong race for the grade and Eric Bloodaxe looks the one to beat after a fair effort behind a talented sort at Navan. This longer trip should be within his compass and he can see off the challenges of Freedom To Dream and Humble Glory.
Mark Nunan

Chepstow

1.05: When You're Ready

Progressing well and open to further improvement, When You're Ready can follow up his recent comfortable course-and-distance success off a 7lb higher mark. Zambezi Fix is knocking at the door and may prove the chief threat, with Paint The Dream and One For Rosie also respected.
Richard O'Brien

Kempton

1.55: Tequila Blaze

Preference is for Tequila Blaze, who beat several of these rivals at Ascot last month and looks open to further progress in handicaps. Coded Message, who won this race in 2019, is feared most ahead of last year's runner-up Emmpressive Lady.
Steve Boow

Wolverhampton

4.10: Blazing Hot

An interesting handicap for the grade and a few of the three-year-olds should pay to follow through the winter. That said, Blazing Hot remains well treated off a 6lb higher mark than for his recent win here now he's back in the groove for his new yard, and he can follow up.
