Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Beverley

4.35: Queen's Fair

Most of these are fully exposed but Queen's Fair (nap) is a striking exception and David O'Meara's daughter of Dansili is taken to make a winning handicap debut. Stand Free, potentially well drawn in stall two, looks the best alternative if proving herself as effective on turf as on the all-weather, with Biplane and Elixsoft also worthy of note.

Cheltenham

2.05: Stolen Silver

Coole Cody deserves to be the starting point following his heroics here last month but whether he can defy a 7lb rise on this less taxing surface is questionable. Simply The Betts and is another who might be vulnerable under these conditions but the same is not true of Stolen Silver (nap), who pushed a very classy handicapper close on good ground here in November. He can improve on his Festival form when behind Coole Cody. Torpillo appears to have turned a corner and he's feared most, ahead of last year's winner Manofthemountain.
Alistair Jones

Gowran Park

4.15: Cyclamen

Even with some doubts about the drop back in trip, Cyclamen (nap) could be too good for her rivals here after a big run on her reappearance at Leopardstown last week. Paris Peacock looked promising on debut last year and Affogato is another potential improver stepping up in trip on return.
Phill Anderson

Kempton

6.40: Dorking Boy

Jay Bee Why and Dorking Boy (nap) both ran well in a competitive race over course and distance last month and may end up fighting this out. Dorking Boy has over two lengths to find on that form but he ended up on the wide outside when bidding to make ground on the home turn, so his performance can be upgraded and he gets the nod today. Valleres has more to prove but he reverts to hurdling on a very tempting mark.
Chris Wilson

Newmarket

3.00: Bellosa

An intriguing Abernant can go to the lightly raced Bellosa (nap) who created a tremendous impression when scoring on her debut at this meeting last year. She's still unexposed and today's drop in trip seems likely to suit. The progressive Jumby ended last season on a high and may prove the main threat, although Ebro River has strong form claims and is much respected too.

Southwell

4.20: Rosearelli

This can go to the lightly raced seven-year-old Rosearelli (nap), who made it 2-2 over fences with an easy win at Ffos Las three weeks ago and is open to more progress in this sphere. The versatile Massini Man has finished runner-up in his last four starts and he's the main danger, although another to keep an eye on is Irish point winner Baghdad Central, who is a possible improver on his handicap/chase debut.
