Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Ayr, Brighton, Lingfield, Nottingham, Punchestown and Yarmouth selections

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

6.40: Will Sommers

Greengage was too strong for Will Sommers (nap) when scoring at Redcar two weeks ago and could still be well handicapped on turf. However, Kevin Ryan's low-mileage 4yo was returning from a seven-month layoff there and, now 2lb better off, can turn the tables here. Detective also comes here after a pleasing seasonal debut and is next on the list.
Chris Wilson

Brighton

4.40: Bombastic

Preference is for Bombastic(nap), who bagged a silver medal over C&D ten days ago and remains well treated off a career-low mark. He's well capable of going one better. Second choice is Sonnetina, ahead of Global Style. Check for any market moves among the three runners who are debuting for a new yard.
Steve Boow

Lingfield

7.55: Ravens Ark

Spanish Kiss, Where's Tom and Party Island all need serious consideration but there could well be further improvement in Ravens Ark(nap) this year and he can make a winning reappearance.
Paul Smith

Nottingham

3.55: Mostly

Previous Listed winner Freyja has shown her best form on heavy ground and it may be best to look to the lightly raced 4yos from the Stoute and Gosden stables. Mostly (nap), trained by the latter, won a Kempton handicap in convincing fashion last month and this well-bred filly could have lots more to offer. A La Voile is another who looks likely to progress.
Ben Hutton

Punchestown

3.40: Hallowed Star

Hallowed Star (nap) lacks experience but makes plenty of appeal here on this nice ground, having looked so good on summer terrain last summer for a yard enjoying a fine campaign. Great Bear, Djasek and Light Brigade are others to consider.
Johnny Ward

Yarmouth

3.50: Dazzling Dan

Ridden with more restraint than usual two weeks ago in a Newmarket sprint in which the leaders never came back, Dazzling Dan(nap) will find this less competitive off a career-low mark, and the seventh furlong round here in a small field on fast ground looks ideal now. Revolutionise has won twice on AW this year and has a much lower turf mark.
Graham Wheldon
