Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings
Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Cork
4.05: Georgette Fun
Not as competitive as one might have thought. Bois De Clamart and Dinny Lacey are both well in over hurdles with the former having shown some decent hurdles form this season. Au Fleuron comes here on the back of a good run at Cheltenham, while Plains Indian is interesting and unexposed. Preference though is for Georgette Fun (nap) after a very eyecatching run at Naas with the promise of more to come.
Justin O'Hanlon
Fairyhouse
3.10: Love Envoi
The admirable Love Envoi (nap) looks the one to beat if this isn't one run too many and she'll appreciate any rain that falls. Paul Townend has gone for Brandy Love from a sizeable Willie Mullins contingent but Cheltenham third Grangee may have better prospects if she improves for this trip. Impervious is capable of better than she showed when sixth to the selection last time.
Mark Nunan
Ffos Las
3.50: Mr Katanga
Jean Genie will find this easier than his latest assignment and has slipped to a tempting mark but Mr Katanga (nap) has been revitalised by the addition of cheekpieces on his last two starts and was comfortably ahead of Jean Genie when second to a rapidly progressive opponent at Chepstow last month. Lord Bryan rediscovered some form when second on his latest outing and will be dangerous if his revival starts to gather momentum.
Chris Wilson
Market Rasen
4.11: Give Me A Moment
The thriving pair Give Me A Moment (nap) and Clear The Runway could be the ones to concentrate on. They've shot up the weights after recent success but they both won easily last time out and preference is Give Me A Moment, who was particularly impressive at Fontwell.
Ben Hutton
Newbury
4.31: Auriferous
Although Nicky Henderson's lightly raced hurdler Ahorsewithnoname has to be feared following her superb run at 50-1 at the Cheltenham Festival, the two top options may well be Auriferous (nap) and Master Milliner. The latter can't be passed over at all lightly given the great success he enjoyed last term, including first time out, but the very bold show produced by Auriferous in the Queen's Prize at Kempton three weeks ago earns him the vote.
Richard Austen
Plumpton
4.35: Midnights Legacy
All six can be considered but useful Flat performer Midnights Legacy (nap) looked good at Ludlow and can take another step up the hurdling ladder. Swinging London is next best after a fine Cheltenham effort.
Jonathan Neesom
Southwell
6.00: Down To The Kid
There are some possible improvers lurking but Down To The Kid (nap) is 2-2 over course and distance and has the scope to keep improving. Handicap debutant and the now-gelded Casi Crudo should be seen in a very different light now raised in distance, while Foreshadow should go well if bouncing back from his Chelmsford no-show.
