Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday picks from Ayr, Cork, Sedgefield, Wolverhampton and Worcester

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

1.35: Blind Beggar

The Richard Fahey-trained three-year-old Blind Beggar (nap) has solid claims, having made the frame in a higher grade at York the last twice. His latest effort came against his own age group at the Ebor festival and this looks an easier assignment. Second choice is Chookie Dunedin, who bagged a silver medal in this race 12 months ago. Big Les is third choice, ahead of True Mason and Le Cheval Rapide.
Steve Boow

Cork

1.15: Pirate Jenny

The form of Pirate Jenny's (nap) debut run at Navan couldn't have worked out much better, with the winner going on to win again next time with both the third and fourth also winning their subsequent starts. Ecoutez looks the clear threat on form, although such is the form of the Ballydoyle juveniles, their newcomer Scholar deserves respect.
Alan Hewison

Sedgefield

3.10: Brother Pat

It's hard to make a strong case for many of these but Brother Pat (nap) has taken well to fences and is the obvious exception. He can add a third chase win at the chief expense of Give Us A Swig and The Darley Lama in that order.
Stuart Redding

Wolverhampton

8.30:Ghaaliya

Aramis Grey and Verreaux Eagle come here on the up and can go well but Ghaaliya (nap) outran her 50-1 odds at Kempton last time and remains capable of better for her new stable.
Paul Smith

Worcester

5.00:Matewan

Percy's World may have a bit on his plate under top weight. Ragamuffin might be progressive enough to defy a 12lb rise for his Newton Abbot win but there should be a big run in Matewan (nap), a four-time Flat winner who quickly goes handicapping over hurdles.
