Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chelmsford

6.15: Blue Flame

The lightly raced Blue Flame(nap) has a solid record since handicapping and looks capable of further improvement. His main threats may be the consistent Stopnsearch and dual C&D scorer Almaan, in that order.
Steve Boow

Lingfield

5.15: The Defiant

Preference is for The Defiant(nap), who has been resurgent with all-the-way wins on Polytrack in his last two starts and may well be able to strike again here to make it 3-4 since joining Daniel Steele. Lothian has been placed over C&D in two of his last three runs and he's feared most on his drop back in grade. Blissful Song looks interesting if she can build on her creditable third at Newcastle two weeks ago, while others who could be in the mix are Storm Melody and Porfin.
David Moon

Naas

5.20: Camino Rock

If Camino Rock (nap) reproduces the form of his Fairyhouse maiden hurdle debut run reverting to a bumper, then he will take plenty of beating. Of the others with form, Queen Jane looks the most interesting. Green Glory, Sweet Magic plus the Elliott pair of Ideal De Ciergues and Sycamore Grey look most interesting of the newcomers.
Tyrone Molloy

Warwick

3.50: Punctuation

Head Law travelled strongly before winning his Huntingdon novice and makes some appeal as a potential improver now switched to handicap company, but Punctuation(nap) has made a good impression in winning both outings for this yard and, while his future is likely to lie over further, he should still be favourably treated on his Flat form. Madiba Passion is preferred of the remainder.
Emily Weber

Wetherby

3.25: Rose Sea Has

The consistent Rose Sea Has (nap) made all at Fontwell recently and he's taken to defy a modest 3lb rise and follow up. Crack Du Ninian can make mistakes but has plenty of solid form to his name this season and is second choice, although Miss Amelia and Bulldoze could also run well.
Ben Hutton
