Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Fancies from Chepstow, Dundalk, Kempton, Musselburgh and Nottingham

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chepstow

1.00: Representing Bob

Shutupshirley ran really well in defeat on his handicap debut in March and is not opposed lightly but Representing Bob gained two emphatic handicap chase wins last month and now makes his handicap hurdle debut from a mark 5lb below his latter success. He gets the vote. A good handful of these are unexposed, with Lusitanien, Voyburg and Gosuatri perhaps the most interesting ones in that group.
Chris Wilson

Dundalk

4.00: Sangria

Jedi Power is an unexposed newcomer to nurseries but Sangria gets a confident vote to get off the mark. She has not got home over 7f on two of her last three starts and this trip should be right up her street. Stall one obviously adds to her claims, as does Mikey Sheehy's 5lb claim, so everything points to a bold showing. Satin Snake can make his presence felt.

Kempton

5.15: Mighty Gurkha

None of these can be completely ruled out but Mighty Gurkha has an enviable record on AW and has been given a good chance by the assessor in his first handicap. Huraiz is on a lengthy losing run but there were real signs of life in a Chelmsford Class 2 last time, so he is nominated as the chief threat.
Andrew Cooper

Musselburgh

1.20: Broadway Joe

The lightly raced 7yo Broadway Joe, who has won here over hurdles, scored in good style on his recent chase debut at Kelso and can follow up. Millarville has finished second on two of her last three starts, and the first-time blinkers (replacing cheekpieces) may be a plus, but she's 0-9 over fences and perhaps the main threat will come from the chasing newcomer Shaws Bridge who was in good form over hurdles when last seen.
Ben Hutton

Nottingham

3.10 Raasel

Dark Shot is likely to give it his all again but Raasel was so impressive here last week and, although his recent wins have been on good and good to soft going, he made light of soft when winning a useful novice at two. He is 8lb well in under a penalty and is the one to beat. Pendleton has not gone on from the high promise of earlier in the year but conditions will suit now back at 5f and is third on the list.
