He's taken to go one better today from 3lb out of the handicap. Fellow 12yo First Figaro is feared most off a handy mark on his first run of the season, while Cracking Find could go well if there's not too much rain.

An interesting race to open the 2022 Classic trial season. Absolute Ruler will go close if returning to the form he showed in a Group 2 on Champions Weekend. Preference though is for Juncture (nap) who was beaten by a rapidly progressive filly when last seen in the Silver Flash in July but is certainly capable at this level at least.

1.00: Golden Spice

There is not a lot of depth to this handicap and it will come as no surprise should Golden Spice(nap) extend her winning run to three. There is a reasonable chance this C&D winner could again get her own way in front and she is taken to get the better of Lord Vader who should improve now handicapping.

If judged on last season's bumper form, Top Of The Bill could be on a good mark for today's handicap debut. However, preference is for Shearer (nap), who returns here after a good effort at Lingfield in January and remains lightly raced. Neon Moon won quite stylishly at Plumpton last month and also features prominently in calculations.

Sweetest Company, Mister Falsetto and Foreshadow all have claims but this can go to Phantasy Mac(nap), who has shown ability over 7f. George Boughey's 3yo should be suited by this longer trip and the switch to handicaps and she is open to improvement.
