However, Vocal Duke has thrived with Toby Lawes and still figures on a workable mark, so he can follow up his recent Uttoxeter win.

The hat-trick seeking Proclaimer is a solid candidate but this is quite competitive and there are viable alternatives. Epic Express and Mabo are in form and can cope with the higher grade but Sharla may well be the answer. She's building up a good record at this track and her latest Sandown effort is easy enough to overlook.

Plenty of these have something to prove after their most recent efforts, but not Rogue Bear who won in the manner of a sharp improver here last time. Gainsbourg is another with momentum behind him and Shawaamekh might as well try his luck over this longer trip so late in the season.

Rathnure Ranger was given a good ride by Ben Poste when winning at Exeter but the pair close behind on that occasion may turn the tables. Gerard Mentor will probably win if putting it all in but the safer option is C&D winner Mi Laddo.

It's hard to look past No Trouble who is thriving at present and he can complete a hat-trick. Clew Bay should appreciate stepping up in trip and looks a danger along with Magic Word.
