1pt win at 9-2 generallyCornerstone Lad is a proper mudlark, consistent with it and running right at the top of his game so looks worth support in Haydock's opener.

He went down by just over a length to Aristo Du Plessis at Wetherby last time, but with claimers taking over on both horses and a rise in the weights he is 5lb better off now.

The ability to handle Haydock's unique version of heavy ground is always a plus and Cornerstone Lad ran right up to his best in those conditions on the track in February when going down by a nose.
